Cosmetic Dentistry

Your smile is one of the first things that people notice about you. In one survey, 60-70% of singles said they judge a first date on their teeth--more than their hair, clothes, grammar, or what car they drive! Your smile can affect everything from a job interview to an important meeting. It affects how others see you, but it also affects how you feel about yourself.
In addition to the color of your teeth, many other factors affect the way a smile looks. The shape of your teeth, the size of your teeth, the relationship of your teeth and your gums--all of these pieces matter in forming a beautiful smile.
If you’re not 100% satisfied with your smile, we’d love to talk to you about different options to help improve the way it looks. Below are a few of the different cosmetic services we offer. Give us a call today to schedule an appointment and discuss your options!
Dental Whitening
These days, you might see ads for many kinds of teeth whitening options. Apart from the usual TV commercials, the internet and social media are full of people claiming different products whitened their teeth.
From toothpastes to strips to different mixes of household ingredients, it can be difficult to figure out what actually works! If you’re unlucky, you might try a product that doesn’t really work. But an even worse possibility is causing serious damage to your teeth, gums, or other tissues by using the wrong product, or using a product the wrong way.
Getting your teeth professionally whitened by your dentist remains the safest method with the most noticeable and consistent results. Click here to find out more about whitening options we offer.
Dental Bonding
Life is hard on your front teeth! From the time our front teeth first grow in, they’re usually the first to weather the bumps and bruises of daily life. Most kids get their top front teeth around age 7. Unfortunately, that’s an age when most kids are very active, and may not have the best control of their growing bodies.
As a result, we see chips and cracks in front teeth all the time. Everything from a stray elbow during sports to a trip on the sidewalk can damage the front teeth. For minor chips and scrapes, dental bonding can be a great way to restore a tooth’s natural color and shape.
For patients who naturally have spaces between teeth that they don’t like, bonding may also be able to close those spaces. Click here to see before and after images of our patients who have had bonding done.
Crowns and Veneers
Hollywood’s favorite way to a perfect smile usually involves veneers or crowns. Both involve replacing a thin layer of your tooth with porcelain. For teeth that have not had much treatment in the past, a veneer replaces only the front portion of the tooth. For teeth that have been treated with fillings, bonding, or a root canal in the past, a crown supports the entire tooth all the way around. Click here to see some examples of what crowns or veneers can do for your smile.
