Save the filling or crown if you can locate it, place it in a clean container, and contact Harte Dental. Avoid chewing on that side of your mouth because the exposed tooth may be sensitive or vulnerable to additional damage.
Do not use household glue or another non-dental adhesive to reattach a restoration. These products can damage the tooth and surrounding tissues. Temporary dental cement may sometimes protect the area until your appointment, but it should be used only according to the product’s instructions and is not a substitute for professional care.
Depending on its condition, the restoration may be recemented, repaired, or replaced.
