Harte Dental: Did you know that fluoride strengthens teeth by bonding with naturally-occurring minerals within your enamel? Fluoride is a mineral that can be found in rock, and it naturally flows into water sources and we use it in our tap water!

Did you know the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends fluoride toothpaste to improve your dental health?

Fluoride…
- bonds with the calcium and phosphate in your enamel to make the enamel even STRONGER (fluorapetite mineral within your enamel)
- to maximize the effects of fluoride, the ADA recommends leaving fluoride toothpaste on your teeth after brushing approximately 20 minutes before rinsing!
- (Enamel gets temporarily weakened after each meal) fluoride can help recover enamel strength while also making your teeth more resistant to acid
