At Harte Dental, we care about your health!

Did you know that we use Digital Radiographs (X-Rays) instead of older, traditional film radiographs?

The National Council on Radiation Protection (NCRP) stated the average resident of the U.S. receives about 360 mrem (Millirem; roentgen equivalent man) every year from background sources. A typical dental x-ray exposes you to only about 2 or 3 mrem

With our crisp images, our doctors can...

-See cavities/decay early and work to prevent them

-View the jaws, roots of teeth, and teeth

-Minimal radiation exposure (2-3 mrem)

-See and treat infections or abscesses

-Monitor the development of teeth

-Monitor general health of mouth

Digital X-Rays are Fast!

With traditional x-rays, it took time for the film to develop in a darkroom before the images were available for viewing. With digital, images are ready to view immediately, allowing our dentists to plan treatment if needed during that visit! They are also ready to send to other dental specialists, if further treatment is needed!

Digital X-Rays are Easy to Save

Your X-Rays are saved to your Harte Dental profile so they cannot be misplaced! It allows for fast retrieval if needed, and no need to look through piles of films.

Higher Quality Image Than Traditional X-Rays

Our doctors can see smaller issues such as fractures that would have been missed with traditional X-Rays. Images can be enlarged and the contrast can be adjusted easily!
